The Tokyo-based company Calbee, which produces chips and breakfast cereals, is now taking drastic measures. Due to a shortage of the ink used to color the packaging, it has chosen a completely monochrome solution - black-and-white bags. Normally, the packaging is also decorated with a cheerful, colorful chip mascot wearing a hat. He has now disappeared.

"The measure is intended to ensure that there is a stable supply of products," the company writes - which also emphasizes that the taste of the chips is the same.
