Among other things, it will be easier for construction companies to build standardized buildings in municipalities without each municipality having to approve the project. It will also be easier to build homes in attics and basements and to convert premises into homes.
They also want to make it possible to expand prisons and detention centers more quickly with a new type of time-limited building permit proposed to be introduced on July 1 this year.
It is further proposed that, in emergency situations, the government may decide on exceptions to the Planning and Building Act to create temporary facilities.
