As U.S. stock markets closed for the Christmas holiday, Bloomberg has compiled a summary of how the past year has developed for some of the world's wealthiest business leaders.
The ten tech figures on Bloomberg's list have seen their combined wealth increase from $1.9 trillion to $2.5 trillion this year.
Unchallenged number one on the list is Elon Musk. Thanks to Tesla's stock market rise this fall, his fortune has grown by 49 percent to $645 billion.
The second place, Oracle founder Larry Ellison, has seen an increase of 61 percent, the most of the ten, but he is still significantly behind Musk. $375 billion separates the two of them.
Other names on the list include Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg ($236 billion) and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang ($156 billion).
Only one of the ten, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, saw his fortune decline during the year. A 26 percent decline means he is now "only" worth $118 billion.
