According to the Huthi movement, the leading military figure Mohammed al-Ghamari was killed in an Israeli raid on September 26. At least nine people were killed in the attack.
Israeli military said in connection with the attack that the target of the raid was the Huthi movement's headquarters.
But Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz hinted on Thursday that the attack took place as early as the end of August, and that al-Ghamari later died of his injuries.
