Houthi Attack Targets Yemen’s Presidential Palace in Aden

The Houthi movement has attacked the presidential palace in Aden, Yemen. Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition says it has destroyed drones heading towards the holy city of Medina.

Witnesses told AFP that ambulances had entered the palace complex, but there were no official reports of injuries following the attack late Friday.

Al-Maashiq Presidential Palace is the headquarters of the Yemeni government and has been attacked several times recently.

Overnight Friday, a drone was shot down in Saudi Arabia’s Mecca region. Earlier that evening, Saudi Arabia said it had also shot down a drone heading towards Medina, north of Mecca.

The Houthi movement has carried out several attacks on targets in Saudi Arabia in recent weeks but has repeatedly denied accusations that it targeted the holy cities.
