Housing prices fell back in June after a slight increase in May, according to Danske Bank's housing price indicator.

The number of transactions on the housing market also decreased, even taking into account the generally reduced activity during the summer months, according to a press release from Danske Bank.

The bank sees, however, that there are conditions for the housing prices to turn upwards in the autumn driven by a brighter mood among households after the Swedish Central Bank's interest rate cut and signals of further cuts.

”The decline in housing prices underscores that the situation is fragile. Summer months should always be interpreted with some caution, but there is hope that the housing prices are near the bottom this time”, says Susanne Spector, chief economist Danske Bank, according to a press release.
