The construction of dwellings decreased by 2 percent in 2024, according to new figures from Statistics Sweden (SCB). During the year, the construction of 28,350 apartments was initiated, of which 22,600 were apartments in multi-dwelling buildings.
Slightly fewer, 70 percent, were rental apartments compared to 71 percent the previous year.
