Household consumption decreased by 1.2 percent in May 2025 compared to the previous month.
Compared to May 2024, however, household consumption increased by 0.6 percent, according to new statistics from the Statistical Central Bureau.
The decrease in May compared to April was broad. Retail trade with food and beverages decreased by 3.1 percent, Transport and service of vehicles declined by 2.0 percent and consumption of recreation and culture decreased by 3.9 percent.
