House prices are rising, but fewer deals

Residential property prices rose 1.9 percent in March compared to February. In Greater Stockholm, prices increased by 3.0 percent, while they decreased by 0.5 and 0.2 percent, respectively, in Greater Gothenburg and Greater Malmö.

House prices rose by 1.0 percent nationwide. In the metropolitan regions, the increase was lower, ranging between 0.6 and 0.7 percent.

The market situation has been somewhat cautious so far this year. During the first quarter, a total of 39,700 homes were sold, down from 40,600 in the same period last year. Sales of villas decreased by 8 percent, while the number of condominiums sold increased by 1 percent.
