+ Alpine World Championship

When: 4–16 February.

Where: Saalbach, Austria.

Broadcasting company: Viaplay. The competitions will be broadcast on TV6 and Viaplay.

Commentators: Former OS gold medalist Frida Hansdotter and World Cup winner Jessica Lindell Vikarby.

First competition: Team event (parallel), Tuesday, February 4, a discipline where Sweden took silver at the World Championship 2021.

Don't miss: Women's giant slalom on Thursday, February 13, with Sara Hector, Sweden's biggest gold hope in the World Championship. The first run starts at 09.45, the second run at 13.15.

+ Biathlon World Championship

When: 12–23 February

Where: Lenzerheide, Switzerland.

Broadcasting company: SVT.

Commentators: Former national team stars Helena Ekholm and Björn Ferry have been involved for a few seasons now. New this year is Mona Brorsson, who retired after last season.

First competition: Mixed relay on Wednesday, February 12. In Nove Mesto last year, Sweden took bronze.

Don't miss: The second-to-last competition day, Saturday, February 22. Sweden has medal hopes in both relays. Especially the women, who have won two out of four World Cup relays this winter, have gold in sight. The men have simultaneously been on the podium in all relays this winter.

+ Four Nations, ice hockey

When: 13–21 February.

Where: Montreal, Canada and Boston, USA.

Broadcasting company: Viaplay. The matches will be broadcast on TV6 and Viaplay.

Commentators: One of Sweden's greatest players of all time, Peter Forsberg, is one of those who will be involved in the broadcasts.

Tre Kronor's matches: Canada, 13 February (02.00), Finland, 15 February (19.00), USA, 18 February (02.00). Possible final: 21 February (02.00).

Don't miss: With only four teams in the tournament, the first with only NHL players in nine years, a lot will be decided for Sweden directly in the premiere against Canada. It's worth staying awake for.

+ Cross-Country World Championship

When: 26 February–9 March.

Where: Trondheim, Norway.

Broadcasting company: Viaplay. The competitions will be broadcast on TV6 and Viaplay.

Commentators: Double Olympic gold medalist Johan Olsson and former sprint star Teodor Peterson are two of the experts. Former national team skier Anna-Karin Strömstedt is an expert.

First competition: Sprint in freestyle, Thursday, February 27, which also promises to be one of the highlights of the entire championship. The Nordic duel on the women's side, between Jonna Sundling (two consecutive World Championship golds) and Norwegian home hope Kristine Stavås Skistad, is not to be missed.

Don't miss: Women's 30 km on Sunday, March 9. On the last competition day of the World Championship, Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson will try to outdo comebacking Therese Johaug, the Norwegian who took four golds at her last World Championship (2021).

Don't miss either: History will be written on Tuesday, March 4, when the para-World Championship in cross-country skiing is integrated with the World Championship for the first time. The para-athletes' championship is actually decided in Italian Toblach, but their World Championship sprint – Sweden's Zebastian Modin is one of the participants – has this time been relocated to Trondheim.
