Honorary Oscars will also be given to animator Floyd Norman and director Ridley Scott - who directed films such as “Alien”, “Blade Runner”, “Gladiator” and “The Martian”, among others.
Additionally, producers Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler will be awarded the honorary Irving Thalberg Award.
"The Academy Board of Governors is pleased to present this year's Governors Awards to five remarkable individuals whose groundbreaking work has forever shaped the art of motion pictures," Academy President Lynette Howell Taylor said in a press release.
