Honda reports profit decline – lowers forecast

Japanese car and motorcycle manufacturer Honda is lowering its forecast for the fiscal year ending in spring 2026. Operating profit is now expected to be 550 billion yen (approximately SEK 34 billion), compared with a previous forecast of 700 billion yen.

The average forecast among analysts was for a forecast reduction of 869 billion yen.

The sales forecast is also lowered to 20,700 billion yen, from the previous 21,100 billion yen. The average forecast was 21,420 billion yen.

For the recently concluded second quarter of the fiscal year, Honda reported a 25 percent increase in operating profit to 194 billion yen, compared with an average forecast of around 220 billion yen.

Net sales fell 1.9 percent to 5,290 billion yen.
