Christian Pulisic is the USA's brightest shining star.
And in the host nation's premiere match in the South American Championship, it was also he who took the team to victory.
The USA defeated Bolivia 2–0.
During the night leading up to Monday, it was time for the host nation USA to enter the Copa América at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Then the team came out at a blistering pace, taking the lead after just three minutes against Bolivia, when the team's big star, Christian Pulisic, scored a dream goal.
The offensive piece, who normally plays for Milan, got the ball after a short corner, took a few steps into the box and curled it into the far corner via the crossbar.
And the 25-year-old's show was not over yet.
In the end of the second half, Pulisic assisted to 2–0, which was scored by Arsenal product Folarin Balogun (now at Monaco), and which also became the final result.
Despite the comfortable victory, Pulisic believes the team had more in them.
We came out flying with high intensity. That early goal certainly helped us too, he says to AP and continues:
Generally, a pretty dominant performance. I think we could have scored more goals and won even bigger.
During the night, the other two teams in the group clashed, where Uruguay defeated Panama 3–1.
