Fricker won an Oscar in 1990 for Best Supporting Actress as the mother in the drama film “My Left Foot,” opposite Daniel Day-Lewis. Another memorable role was as the “Pigeon Lady” in the 1992 Christmas classic “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.”
