The announcement comes in a press release from the Danish tennis star's team.
Rune tore his Achilles tendon in Stockholm last October and has also had knee problems this year. Now the 23-year-old is reportedly able to train at a high level for longer periods without problems.
"While we are encouraged by the success, our focus is on ensuring he is fully prepared to compete at the highest level when he returns," the press release states.
Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the year, begins on June 29.
