The juniors' SM final series, U20, clashed with Småkronorna's preparation for the U18 World Cup, which starts in Slovakia on Wednesday. A total of seven players from finalists Djurgården and Frölunda were named to the World Cup squad; six left after the first final to join the national team, which was required by the association and national captain Johan Rosén.
However, Viggo Björck wanted to finish the final series - which Djurgården won - and was denied a place in the World Cup.
Anders Larsson says he respects team management's decision but thinks the game schedule should have been adapted to the World Cup:
I think we have some homework to do there.
