Power technology group Hitachi Energy will not contribute more money to steel manufacturer Stegra, they told Bloomberg.

"We of course had the question on the table, but we decided not to provide any additional financing," Tobias Hansson, CEO of Hitachi Energy Sweden, told the news agency.

In early October, Stegra announced that it would need to raise an additional SEK 10 billion in capital. In early November, Stegra CEO Henrik Henriksson said that the owners had contributed about half of the SEK 10 billion and that the company hopes to get the rest from lenders.

Hitachi Energy contributed money to Stegra in 2022.
