In the Nordics, Norway is perhaps best known for its cabin culture, but Swedish viewers may also be drawn to travel across the Atlantic when the season finale of "Heated Rivalry" is released on HBO Max on Friday.
The trip by main characters Shane and Ilya to the Canadian wilderness, and Shane's cabin, appear to have increased demand for cottage vacations in Canada. Shortly after the sixth episode was released in other parts of the world in December, searches for cottage rentals in Muskoka, Canada, where the cabin scenes were filmed, increased by 110 percent. Bookings have also increased, according to the district tourism office, which has launched a campaign called "Come to the cottage."
