The trip by main characters Shane and Ilya to the Canadian wilderness and Shane's cabin appear to have caused an increase in demand for cottage vacations in Canada. Shortly after the sixth episode was released in other parts of the world in December, searches for cottage rentals in Muskoka, Canada, where the cabin scenes were filmed, increased by 110 percent. Bookings have also increased, according to the district's tourism office, which has launched a campaign called "Come to the cottage."
