At 15, Leonie Harm was considered one of Europe's greatest golf talents, but her career looked set to come to an abrupt end.
While out jogging, she was hit by a drunk driver and seriously injured. A collapsed lung, skull fractures and a brain hemorrhage were among her injuries, and she was placed in a coma.
Despite the serious injuries, Leonie Harm made her way back to golf and has now won her first professional title.
This weekend, the 28-year-old ranked 250th surprisingly won the European Tour's German Masters on home soil.
"The fact that so many people came here to support me means a lot," she said in a statement after the victory.
