With the shutout against Frölunda, Mann has recorded 10 shutouts during the current SHL season, the most by a goaltender in a single season.
Happy to have done it and happy about the victory, Mann told TV4, and continued:
The guys played amazingly in front of me, I'm so grateful. There's no way I would have been here without them and their help this season. An awesome moment for our team and my career, but ultimately this isn't the goal of the season; it's to win the league.
The record-breaking goaltender put in a strong performance in the summit clash against Frölunda, saving all 23 shots from the home team.
The away team had an easier time getting the puck in. Andreas Johnson scored the go-ahead goal halfway through the game, and Rickard Hugg added an empty-net goal with 30 seconds remaining.
With the victory, Skellefteå is now first in the table with 97 points. Frölunda has dropped to second place with 94 points.
