Hillary Clinton was questioned by a US congressional committee on Thursday about her contact with the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Her husband, Bill Clinton, has been mentioned on numerous occasions in the Epstein documents released by the US Department of Justice this year. In a press briefing after the hearing, Hillary Clinton answered "yes" when asked if she was certain her husband did not know about Epstein's crimes.
"I believe his contact with Epstein ended several years before anything about Epstein's criminal activities became known," she said.
Hillary Clinton also said that she has "no memory" of ever meeting Jeffrey Epstein and denied that she had any knowledge of his crimes.
On Friday, Bill Clinton will be questioned by the committee.
