In February, it hit like a bombshell when Serie A giant Pisa chose to appoint Elfsborg's Oscar Hiljemark as their new head coach.
Since then, the 33-year-old has led the Italian club in twelve matches - with a dismal record of one win, one draw and ten losses.
The latest blow came on Friday night against Lecce.
The 1–2 loss means that Pisa is now certain to be relegated and can no longer reach safety above the relegation zone.
Hiljemark has a contract that runs until 2027, with an option to extend.
