Higher tobacco tax to partly finance cheaper gasoline in Germany

Over a two-month period, the tax on gasoline and diesel will be reduced by 17 euro cents, equivalent to SEK 1.85.

The cost of the initiative is estimated to be around 1.6 billion euros and will be partly financed by a higher tobacco tax.
