The underlying operating profit will be SEK 17.2 billion, compared to SEK 8.5 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
We see that we are achieving better results in all parts of the business compared with the first quarter.
Hydro and nuclear power boosted profits by SEK 4.4 billion, as a result of higher electricity prices in the Nordic countries. Wind power also strengthened the result, but Anna Borg declined to disclose how things are going in Sweden.
Significantly increased electricity network fees from the turn of the year will boost the state-owned energy giant's profit by SEK 1.3 billion.
Of course, price increases are never fun and we have great respect for that, Borg says, defending the decision to make large investments in electricity networks.
