At 1:10 p.m. we received a call that something had gone wrong when a bus was refueling with natural gas. There was a gas leak and there is a risk of explosion, says Rebecca Landberg, press spokesperson for the police.
The gas station was evacuated and a large area was closed to traffic – including a nearby roundabout and the exit and entrance to the E4.
Initially, we called a fairly large resource because we found that natural gas was flowing out of the bus when they were refueling it, says Anders Sessler, officer on duty at the rescue service.
However, it turned out to be a smaller amount and by 2 p.m. Sessler estimates that the site will soon be cleared. The leak was stopped and the blockades were eased.
It looks very good, he says.
Technicians are on the scene and the bus will be towed. Early media reports that the train had been stopped turned out to be incorrect.
