The crimes are said to have been committed in 2021 and when the girl, who was born prematurely, needed to stay at Östra Hospital in Gothenburg together with her mother.

Syringes with food, found in a trash can among other things, are part of the evidence against the woman.

The food was intended to help the girl gain weight, but was instead hidden by the mother, according to the verdict.

The girl is said to have recovered quickly when the staff took over feeding the girl.

The mother denies the allegations and has explained that she wanted to give her child breast milk.

In my mind, it was logical that as long as she starts drinking my breast milk, she will gain weight, the mother said in the interrogation, according to GP.

The woman is also sentenced to pay 100,000 kronor in damages to her daughter.
