Høiby has been in custody since early February. He is charged with 40 crimes, including several counts of rape. The trial was held in March and a verdict is expected on June 15.
Høiby, 29, is the son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit from a previous relationship. In early May, he requested to serve the remainder of his sentence under ankle shackles at the Crown Prince and Crown Princess's estate, Skaugum, where he is registered.
The Oslo District Court refused, and Høiby appealed, but the higher court, the Court of Appeal, has also rejected his request.
Høiby has called the district court's decision "absurd and unreasonable."
