Long before Marius Borg Høiby was suspected of rape, he searched for the definition of rape online, Aftenposten reports.

"The Bonus Prince" Googled his own name along with the words "rape" and "sleep rape," his search history shows, according to Aftenposten.

He is also said to have searched for definitions of assault in criminal law, and for the difference between rape and assault.

The searches were allegedly carried out several weeks before he was first accused of rape. They were discovered after police seized his phones following his initial arrest in August 2024, when Høiby assaulted his then-girlfriend in an apartment in Oslo.

The 29-year-old's search history is expected to be reviewed in Oslo District Court today. Høiby, who is the son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, is charged with four counts of rape, among other charges.
