The signal did not work in Linköping, Norrköping and Söderköping.
"The warning signal did not go out in these areas. The purpose of quarterly tests is for these types of deficiencies to be discovered and addressed. MSB and the system supplier are troubleshooting this now," the authority writes on Facebook.
The VMA test is administered four times a year, on the first Monday in March, June, September and December at 3:00 p.m.
In September, when the system was last tested, the signal was not available in several cities in Skåne, including Eslöv, Kävlinge and Lund.
