The musical "This is the moment – a historical musical journey" premieres on September 4 at Göta Lejon in Stockholm. Musical artists Emmi Christensson, Nina Söderquist, and Jan Åström sing the lead roles in the production, which has a script by Herman Lindqvist.
The renowned author has written new texts that connect world history with well-known musical songs, including ones from "Hair" about the hippie wave in the USA in the 1960s and "Kristina från Duvemåla" about Swedish emigration to America 100 years earlier.
Lindqvist is the guide on stage during the performance to show how it all connects.
"I never thought I would stand on a musical stage, with some of our best artists, no less. But now it's happening, I'm happy and glad to get to tell. A unique chance for me, but also for the audience, who get to relive wonderful musical memories", says Lindqvist in a press release.
