Henriksson Out in 100m at Tokyo, Focuses on 200m Performance

The form was on the rise and she aimed to "sprint well". But nothing more came of it in the Tokyo World Championship – Julia Henriksson was eliminated on 100 meters. I had hoped for a faster time, she says after 11.49.

The 25-year-old shook her head as she entered the inner part of the National Arena. 11.49 was far from what Julia Henriksson had hoped for ahead of the World Championship in Japan.

She wanted to reach the semi-final and be closer to her personal record, 11.19.

I had hoped for more, but at the same time I did everything I could. I did not have more in me, she says.

I do not know what it is due to. It's just to load up for the next one.

Henriksson says that the main purpose of the World Championship is to perform well in the 200 meters, which starts with heats on Wednesday.

Leo Magnusson and Vidar Johansson were also eliminated on 3,000 meters steeplechase. Magnusson was offensive in his attempt and in the lead, but lost on the final stretch.
