For the first time in almost three years, Sweden does not have a world number one in show jumping.

After 33 months in the position, Henrik von Eckermann has now dropped to third place. This is shown by the International Equestrian Federation's latest ranking, presented on Tuesday.

The magazine Ridsport wrote about the presumed shift in power last week and now it is clear.

American Kent Farrington, previously ranked second, has taken over the position as world number one. Ben Maher is second. Previously, the Briton was ranked fourth.

Henrik von Eckermann has been world number one since August 2022 after top results in both championships and the World Cup.
