Several media outlets point out Henok Goitom as the new coach in the Allsvenskan team Degerfors. The club has called a press conference on Wednesday morning.

Degerfors recently and unexpectedly fired coach William Lundin, who was temporarily replaced by Tobias Solberg. The result since Lundin left: 0–3 at home against Brommapojkarna and 1–5 away against Djurgården.

Goitom was assistant coach in AIK until last autumn and has also had the main responsibility in the club for a shorter period, in the span between Bartosz Grzelak and Henning Berg a few years ago.

He was for several years a prominent player in the club, where he scored 102 goals in 293 competitive matches.

Degerfors is currently in 14th place – which is a qualifying spot – in Allsvenskan.

In the next Allsvenskan match, AIK is waiting, at Strawberry arena.
