Stevie Grieve joined Helsingborg before the season and led the team in 30 matches.
"As part of the development of the men's team's day-to-day operations and training environment, the association has chosen to end the collaboration with immediate effect," Helsingborg writes in a statement.
Mikael Stahre will take over as interim coach. The experienced coach has signed a contract that will last until the end of the season.
"At the same time, the association will begin the recruitment process for a head coach for the men's team and conduct a review of what our sporting organization should look like in the long term," Helsingborg writes.
Stahre has previously coached AIK, IFK Göteborg and BK Häcken, among others, and has won both the Swedish Cup and the Swedish championship as a coach.
The Skåne club is tenth in the Superettan.
