There will still be Swedish representation in the capital Brasilia. Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson are entering the tournament with their sights set on reaching the main event for the second time in a row.
The duo skipped the last competition in Saquarema, but are now back and loaded to challenge the world elite again.
In Saquarema, David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig reached the final. Last summer, the duo took OS gold in Paris.
The next competition on the beach volleyball world tour – after this week's in Brazil – is in Ostrava, Czech Republic, at the turn of May-June.
