The Swedish Committee Against Antisemitism, SKMA, writes on its website that one of the initiators of the demonstration has previously expressed antisemitic views. SKMA directs criticism at Helldén and urges him not to give legitimacy to hate spreaders.
According to Expressen, which was the first to report on the incident, Daniel Helldén was not aware of the circumstances.
"Had I known about it, I would not have stood on that platform. I regret this and have had a constructive conversation about it with SKMA.", he writes in an SMS to the magazine.
