According to an interim decision in the Labour Court (AD), the employment shall continue even after the notice period expires in the autumn, reports the Dockworkers' Union in a press release. The decision applies while waiting for a final judgment from AD.

The employer wanted his employment to cease after the notice period.

Erik Helgeson was notified of termination in February this year with reference to, among other things, breach of the Security Protection Act.

The dismissal has been a partial cause of the recent port strikes, where the union has, among other things, demanded better protection for elected representatives. The conflict is not resolved yet, but right now, there are no further notices of industrial action.
