Spokesmen for the Miami Open and the WTA tour did not want to disclose what Swiatek was subjected to. However, the events are confirmed by representatives for Swiatek, according to BBC.
"We take extremely seriously the safety of all players and tournament visitors. We continuously evaluate potential threats and do everything in our power to handle them in a good way. To ensure the effectiveness, we do not disclose any details about our security work", says the tournament organizer in a statement.

During a tournament in Dubai last month, a stalker frightened British Emma Raducanu.
The man disturbed her during the competition week and when Raducanu discovered him in the stands during a match, she notified the referee about the situation and the man was removed and taken into custody by the police.
Afterwards, Raducanu said that she started crying on the court and could barely breathe.
In 2022, Raducanu was stalked by a man who was discovered at her residence three times and was later sentenced to a five-year restraining order.
