Hedman's premiere goal behind the big win

It was nice to score the season's first goal, it's always fun to contribute, but above all, I'm pleased that we bounced back so quickly after the match in Toronto, says Hedman to Aftonbladet, and admits that they need to play with passion and hunger to win matches in NHL.

For the most part, we do that too. When we play with desperation, we're hard to handle.

Lightning pulled away in the second period, going from 1–1 to 6–1. Hedman shot the period's first and last shots, and Brandon Hagel responded with a hat-trick.

It was a successful period, we got through well on repeated occasions and created a lot, says Hedman.

There was no Swedish goalie duel as New Jersey's Jacob Markström got the night off. Replacement Jake Allen didn't have a good evening, taking 29 of 37 shots. Jonas Johansson didn't have his best match either, letting in five of 35 shots.

Tampa Bay has won four matches and lost two in the start of the season and is second in the Atlantic Division. For New Jersey, the loss was the third this fall, in nine matches, and they are second in the Metropolitan Division.
