After the disappointment in their last outing against Everton (3–3), second-placed Manchester City were desperate to win against Brentford to keep their title dreams alive.
But the eighth-placed team held out well and for a long time looked like they were going to give Arsenal a helping hand in the title race.
Then Jeremy Doku scored a dream goal, just like he did against Everton last time. Superstar Erling Braut Haaland added to the momentum and then Omar Marmoush made it 3–0.
Swedish national team star Viktor Gyökeres and Arsenal are still close to a long-awaited league title.
Arsenal lead the league by two points, ahead of Man City, with three matches of league play remaining for both teams.
The last time Arsenal won the Premier League was 22 years ago, in the 2003/2004 season.
