The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) is warning again for heavy snowfall in southwestern Jämtland County – the warning applies for Friday afternoon and evening, and the stormy weather can lead to difficult road conditions.
According to SMHI, as much as 15 centimeters of wet snow may fall during the evening, and there is a risk that snow-laden trees may collapse onto roads and power lines.
Already on Thursday, SMHI issued a weather warning primarily for Jämtland. At that time, large parts of Dalafjällen, southern Härjedalen, and the westernmost parts of Hälsingland were also affected – but those areas seem to be spared this time.
