The warning applies from Wednesday afternoon until early Thursday morning, and covers an area from south of Gävle down over Uppsala, west towards Västerås and Eskilstuna and south over Stockholm and Södertälje.
SMHI writes that it is rain or thunder showers that locally can give between 20 and 40 millimeters of rain in a short time. There is therefore a risk of flooding.
