Heavy rain and storm winds in connection with Typhoon Kong-rey mean that the women's LPGA golf tournament in Japan is reduced to 54 holes, i.e. three rounds.

The third round had to be completely cancelled due to the storm winds, which means that home player Hana Wakimoto retains her lead ahead of Sunday's finale, two strokes ahead of a duo consisting of Yealimi Noh, USA, and Ariya Jutanugarn, Thailand.

The best Swedish player is Linn Grant in a shared 21st place, seven strokes behind leading Wakimoto. The tournament is the fourth and final leg in Asia on the USA tour.
