This is the third election in a row in which healthcare is the most important issue for Swedish voters, as in previous years just ahead of schools and education. Fifty-three percent believe healthcare is "very important" when choosing a parliamentary party, compared with 51 percent for schools and education, according to SVT's Valu.
At the same time, the Swedish economy has climbed several places, with 47 percent of voters. The issue thus takes third place and pushes law and order down a notch.
Energy and nuclear power, which was the fourth most important issue in 2022, does not make the top ten at all this year.
In total, more than 13,000 voters at 93 polling stations and 68 early voting stations participated in the survey this year. The results have been weighted as some parties tend to be overrepresented and others to be underrepresented compared with the election results.
