The chat app Min vård, used or previously used by several regions, has according to several doctors made serious misjudgments. The app's AI-generated answers are alleged to have, among other things, referred a patient with breathing difficulties incorrectly and misjudged an elderly patient. The elderly man later died, reports SVT Gävleborg.

However, it is unclear whether the misjudgment led to the man's death and the matter has not been reported to the Health and Social Care Inspectorate.

We looked at the case and decided that it did not need to be reported, says Agneta Larsson, chief physician in Gävleborg, to SVT.

According to the company behind the app, Platform 24, the criticized cases have not been reported to them.

If someone had assessed that the digital solutions caused the errors, we would have been informed, says Sara Dannborg, communications manager at Platform 24 to TT.

In Västra Götaland, a report previously showed that the system misjudged three out of ten patients - then the app was paused. Region Östergötland reported the company to the Medical Products Agency for serious misjudgments and the Medical Products Agency is now investigating Platform 24.

Corrected: In an earlier version, the causal link was described incorrectly.
