Five people have been taken to hospital since two cars collided head-on on the E10 outside Abisko.
A large rescue operation with, among other things, an ambulance helicopter from Sweden and one from Norway was sent to the accident site.
In total, six people were traveling in the vehicles.
Two people were taken to hospital by ambulance helicopters, while three were driven away in regular ambulances. The sixth person was able to ride with one of the fire trucks, says a management operator at Rescue Cooperation North to TT.
The extent of the injuries to those affected is not known.
The alarm about the accident came at around 16:30 on Friday.
The road section was closed during the rescue work.
The police are investigating the accident and both cars will be seized.
