A young man has died after two cars have collided head-on on highway 42 north of Fristad outside Borås. A man in his 80s is also being treated in hospital, where the extent of the injuries remains unclear.
The rescue service was alerted to the scene at 07.10 on Thursday morning. It was found that two people were involved in the traffic accident, and an ambulance helicopter was sent to the scene.
A report of reckless driving and causing another person's death has been filed by the police. At present, no one has been notified of suspicion of a crime.
