The man was traveling in a passenger car when the accident occurred on E45 at Kasenberg, at 12 o'clock on Tuesday.
A preliminary investigation into gross negligence in traffic has been initiated.
There is no one who has been notified of suspicion at present. We'll see what it ends up with, says the police's press spokesperson Adam Isaksson Samara.
No one else was injured in the accident.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter but at 18 o'clock the police announced that he had died from his injuries.
Traffic was initially closed in both directions, but has been reopened again.
