Chanel has appointed Matthieu Blazy as the new artistic director for the French fashion house, says Chanel's CEO Bruno Pavlovsky to the newspaper Le Figaro.
The French-Belgian Matthieu Blazy has been the artistic director for the luxury brand Bottega Veneta since 2021 and will take up his new job at Chanel in 2025.
Matthieu embodies a new generation with genuine humility and, in his approach to the brand and to fashion design in general, an enormous respect and passion for the product, says Pavlovsky about Blazy according to the newspaper.
The position is considered one of the most coveted in the fashion world.
