Nahir Besara was named both the best player of the year and midfielder of the year at the Allsvenskan grand prize gala. The champion team Mjällby was awarded three prizes.

With his 17 goals and five assists, Hammarby's captain finished third in the Allsvenskan scoring league and second in the points league. He led his team to second place behind Mjällby in the table.

Swedish champions Mjällby took home three awards at Wednesday night's gala, which is annually organized by the Swedish Elite Football Association (Sef). Elliot Stroud was named defender of the year ahead of teammate and Tuesday's national team debutant Herman Johansson. Noel Törnqvist also received the award for goalkeeper of the year and Anders Torstensson was named coach of the year.

One of the two who won the scoring league, Djurgårdens August Priske, received the award as striker of the year.

Goalkeeper of the Year: Noel Törnqvist, Mjällby.

Defender of the Year: Elliot Stroud, Mjällby.

Midfielder of the Year: Nahir Besara, Hammarby.

Striker of the Year: August Priske, Djurgården.

Young Player of the Year: Noah Tolf, IFK Gothenburg.

Coach of the year: Anders Torstensson, Mjällby.

Best player of the year: Nahir Besara, Hammarby.
